4 Types of Moffles (Mochi Waffles)

Regular waffles have nothing on these sweet and savory stuffed mochi waffles.



  • 8 mochi blocks
  • (mentaiko cheese)
  • 20g shredded cheese
  • 20g mentaiko (spiced pollock roe)
  • bonito flakes
  • mentaiko mayonnaise
  • nori strips
  • (pork kimchi)
  • 20g pork belly
  • 20g takuan (pickled radish)
  • lettuce leaf
  • kimchi
  • teriyaki sauce
  • (adzuki)
  • 20g anko (sweetened adzuki bean paste)
  • 10g cream cheese
  • 1 scoop matcha ice cream
  • kinako (powdered soybeans)
  • kuri kinton (candies chestnuts)
  • kuromitsu (Japanese sugar syrup)
  • (chocolate)
  • 20g chocolate
  • 10g almonds, chopped
  • whipped cream
  • dried berries
  • mint leaf
  • chocolate sauce

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Slice each mochi block in two. Place into a bowl and over with water. Microwave for 3 minutes or until soft at 500 watts.
  2. Place 2 pieces of mochi onto a waffle maker. Place other ingredients on top of the mochi pieces. Top with two more pieces of mochi. Close the waffle maker and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Decorate with toppings and serve.
