6 Unusual Uses for Olive Oil

Julie Nolke

Olive oil isn't just for food and cooking anymore.

  • 3 drops Olive Oil
  • Eye Dropper
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped rosemary
  • 5 drops Essential oils (Sweet Orange)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 squeeze of lemon juice
  • 1 q-tip
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Squeeze the eyedropper into your external ear canal and let the olive oil drops fall into your ear canal. Put a cotton ball in your ear canal to avoid the spilling of oil outside. Layback in this position of at least 10-15 minutes so as to let the oil soften the wax and penetrate it.
  2. Mix all ingredients together and place in a clean glass container. To use, start with a clean face, take a tablespoon of the mixture and rub in broad circular stroked over you face, avoid your eyes. Wash off after 60 seconds.
  3. Stir together and use a soft rag on wood furniture to give it a polish and clean.
  4. Dip the q-tip in the olive oil and run it along the zipper. Gently ease the zipper out of being stuck.
  5. Right before a big presentation or going live in front of tens or thousands of people, take a sip of olive oil to stop a dry throat from becoming a cough.
  6. Apply 1 tablespoon to dry hair and massage thoroughly for a few minutes. Rinse & shampoo well before styling as usual.
