If you love apple pies, but hate the work, these are for you.



  • 6 cups firm baking apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, etc.), peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 package phyllo dough, thawed
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • 1 1/2 cups butter, melted

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Mix apples, sugars and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. On a flat surface, layer 3 pieces of phyllo dough, brushing butter between each layer.
  4. Place a generous amount of apple mixture in center of dough, pull up pastry towards the middle and pinch close.
  5. Repeat process with remaining phyllo dough and apple mixture.
  6. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, until browned and crispy.
  7. Serve with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.
