Asian BBQ Sauce


Easy recipe for an amazing BBQ sauce with an asian touch.



  • ⅓ cup rice vinegar
  • ½ cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp fish sauce
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 pcs garlic
  • 2 tbsp ginger
  • 2 tsp five spice
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ed chili powder
  • 1 tsp each garlic, onion, ginger powder
  • 3 tbls cornstarch slurry

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Chop all ingredients and add to heated lightly oiled wok, saute until everything releases it’s flavor and aroma
  2. Next add hoisin, vinegar, and fish sauce, bring to a simmer
  3. Finally, add cornstarch slurry
  4. Stir well to combine and cook until slightly thickened, finally add chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, ginger powder and five spice, cook for another 3-5 min.
