Soap-quality dye: dark green, light green and brown
2 tsp water
Let's get Cooking...
In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients. Separate into three smaller bowls according to how much is needed for each color. (Roughly ¼ will be dark green for the skin, ½ will be light green for the inside, and ¼ will be brown for the seed.)
In a glass or Mason jar, combine the wet ingredients, except water. Separate the wet ingredients into three different bowls according to how much is needed for each color.
Add one color of dye to each bowl of wet ingredients.
Combine a bowl of dry ingredients with a corresponding color, mixing well. The mixture should resemble wet sand.
Press a thin layer of the dark green, about ⅛ inch thick, in a plastic egg mold. Set aside to dry, 2-4 hours.
While that's drying, start prepping your seed by pressing the brown mix into a metal tablespoon. Let dry.
Press light green sand into the egg mold, packing it in tightly. Once the light green dries completely, add the seed from the tablespoon with a light brush of water to adhere it. Let dry once again. Remove from mold once completed.
