Bahn Mi Sandwich
Here's our version of the famous Vietnamese sandwich.
6-12 slices ham ( or other deli meats )
1/4 medium carrot
1 2-inch block daikon radish
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Mustard and mayonnaise
Let's get Cooking...
To make the pickles, cut carrots and daikon radish into thin matchsticks. Put them in bowl with salt.
Squish with hands for 20 seconds. Add sugar, vinegar and salt and mix well. Set it aside for 10 minutes
Slice cucumbers. Cut baguettes in half. Spread mayonnaise and mustard.
Layer ham or deli meats followed by cucumber slices. Top with drained carrot and radish pickles. Add cilantro. Enjoy!
