Ingredients

  • 9 cups frozen mixed berries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds (optional)
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Make the filling: In a large bowl, combine the berries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and salt. Pour into a 9x12-inch baking dish.
  2. Make the topping: In a bowl, combine the flour, oats, almonds, baking powder and salt. Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl until pale and fluffy. Add the dry mixture and mix to combine. Squeeze some pieces together with your fingers to create clumps.
  3. Sprinkle the topping over the filling and bake at 375F for 1 hour, until the topping has browned and the juices are bubbling. Transfer to a wire rack and cool for 30 minutes before serving.
