Make the perfect walnut chocolate chip cookie every time. Who can resist these sweet, nutty treats?
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Let's get Cooking...
Preheat oven to 325 degrees, and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
Cream together brown sugar, white sugar and melted butter until well blended. Add the vanilla and eggs. Slowly incorporate dry ingredients until mixed. Fold in chocolate chips and optional walnuts.
Using a small ice cream scoop, drop cookie dough 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Cook for 12 to 14 minutes, removing from the oven before they brown completely. (They may look uncooked but will harden as they cool and have an incredible chewy texture!) Let cool and store in an airtight container.
