Black And White Brigadeiro Pie
How to make Black And White Brigadeiro Pie.
1 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ cups + 5 Tbsp chocolate powder
2 cups flour
¾ cup oil
1 Tbsp baking powder
5 ¼ cups sweetened condensed milk
3 Tbsp butter
3 ½ oz cream (25% fat content)
Chocolate confetti (preferably rice flakes covered in chocolate if available)
Let's get Cooking...
Beat the eggs with sugar until they double in volume.
Add oil and keep beating.
Sift the flour, add 1 ½ cups of chocolate powder and add the yeast. Mix with a spatula to form a smooth dough.
Layer the dough in a greased, floured springform cake pan with 20 inches in diameter.
Preheat the oven to 356 degrees and bake for 40 minutes or until the cake can be pierced by a toothpick without clinging to it.
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before unmolding
In a pan, add 3 ½ cups of sweetened condensed milk and butter. Cook over low heat, mix well until the mix becomes apt to be rolled into brigadeiro. Let it cool.
In another pan, add the rest of the condensed milk and the chocolate powder. Mix non-stop, cook over low heat until it becomes ready to be eaten with a spoon. Add cream mix well and serve.
Cut the cake in two layers with a string.
Place the white brigadeiro mix to a layer of the cake and add the other cake layer on top.
Cover the top layer with brigadeiro mix.
Garnish with confettis.
