Black Beer Chicken


Take braised chicken to the next level with onions, chives and flavorful black beer.



  • 2.2 pounds boneless chicken thighs
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 3 large onions cut into 4 pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups black beer
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 3 1/3 tablespoons of water
  • 4 chopped chives
  • Oil

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Cut the thighs into pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Seal all in a hot pan. Reserve.
  3. Sauté onion and garlic in oil. Return the chicken pieces to the pan and add the black beer.
  4. Cook for 15 minutes. Adjust the salt.
  5. In a cup, dissolve the starch in cold water and add to sauce. Stir until thickened.
  6. Place the chopped chives and serve.
