Black Sesame Pork


Turn pork cutlet into literal dark meat with a savory black sesame sauce.



  • 2 boneless pork cutlets
  • 60 grams cream cheese
  • 15 grams black sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon yuzu pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sake
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons black sesame paste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon miso
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 3 tablespoons sake

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Slice the pork cutlets in half horizontally without cutting all the way through. Spread yuzu pepper inside and top with cream cheese. Season with salt, pepper and sake. Coat one side with black sesame seeds.
  2. Heat oil in a fryin pan and cook the pork cutlets, sesame side down for 3 minutes on medium heat. Flip them over and cook the other side until nice and brown.
  3. Take cutlets out and set aside. Using the same frying pan, make the sauce by combining black sesame paste, miso , sugar, mirin and sake. Cook until thickened.
  4. Serve pork cutlets with the sauce.
