Bread Crust Chocolate Banana Cake

Enjoy banana bread, but want something more chocolatey? Make this decadent bread crust cake.

  • 300 grams bread crust, torn into small pieces
  • 3 eggs
  • 300 milliliters milk
  • 90 grams sugar
  • 100 grams chocolate chips
  • 3 bananas
  • 30 grams unsweetened cocoa
  • Toppings:
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 20 grams walnuts
  • Whipped cream
  • Crushed pistachio
  • Dried berries
  • Mint

Let's get Cooking...

  1. First, mash the bananas in a bowl.
  2. Add in bread crusts, milk, eggs, sugar, cocoa and chocolate chips and mix until combined.
  3. Let mixture rest in the refrigerator for at least half a day.
  4. Pour batter into a cake pan and top with sliced bananas and walnuts. Bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees C.
  5. Decorate with whipped cream, pistacio, dried berries and mint if desired.
