Buffalo Turkey Burger

Buffalo wings are great and all, but they're better as a turkey burger stuffed with warm blue cheese.

  • Slaw Ingredients:
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon
  • 2 celery stalks, shaved
  • 2 carrots, shaved
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Buffalo Turkey Burger Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tbsp butter, melted
  • ¼ cup Frank's RedHot sauce
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4, ½-inch pieces of blue cheese
  • 4 brioche buns
  • Hot sauce for drizzling

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Make the slaw: Whisk together the vinegar, Dijon and sugar. Add the celery and carrots, and stir to combine.
  2. Mix the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, butter, hot sauce and Worcestershire. Form into 4 balls.
  3. Make a well in the center of each ball and fill with a piece of blue cheese. Press into a patty.
  4. Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill pan and cook about 6–7 minutes per side.
  5. To serve, place a burger in each bun, top with some slaw and drizzle with hot sauce if desired.
