Caramel Corn Balls

Almost everything tastes better in ball form — this sweet and buttery carnival treat of popcorn and brown sugar is no exception!

Ingredients

  • 10 cups popped popcorn

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar

  • 1 cup light corn syrup

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tsp white vinegar

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup unsalted butter

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Place the granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, water, vinegar and salt in a pot. Set to medium high heat and bring to a boil. Once it comes to a boil, insert a candy thermometer and stir consistently until it reaches hard ball stage (250F – 265F). 

  2. Reduce the heat to low and add the butter. Stir until melted. Pour the syrup onto the popped popcorn and stir until fully coated. Allow to cool slightly, then shape into balls with buttered hands. Enjoy!
