Caramel Macchiato Tart
We took a Starbucks fave & turned it into a tart.
2 boxes shortbread cookies
¼ cup butter
Caramel coffee pudding batter:
3 tablespoons milk and coffee
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon cold water
3 tablespoons hot water
Let's get Cooking...
Grate the shortbread cookies into a bowl.
Mix in the butter.
Place the tart shell dough into a tart pan lined with parchment paper.
Heat the sugar and cold water in a pot over medium heat.
When the mixture simmers and turns brown, mix in the hot water (this is the caramel).
*It may splatter a little, so be careful not to burn yourself.
Mix the milk and coffee and eggs into the caramel.
Pour into the tart shell and bake in a water bath for 30 minutes at 340 degrees.
Chill in the refrigerator to set for 1 hour.
Remove from the pan and top with whipped cream and caramel sauce to taste.
