Char Siu Pulled Pork Sliders

The most delicious thing to come out of your slow cooker in ages.



  • 2 pounds boneless pork shoulder
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 4 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon five-spice powder
  • 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • Cornstarch slurry (equal parts cornstarch and water)
  • Hawaiian buns

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Combine marinade ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Place pork shoulder in slow cooker. Pour marinade ingredients over pork shoulder. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Flip halfway through cooking time.
  3. Remove pork from slow cooker, pull apart and keep warm.
  4. Pour sauce from slow cooker into saucepan. Add 1 tablespoon of a cornstarch slurry. Bring sauce to a boil.
  5. Serve pulled pork on Hawaiian buns with sauce.
