Who wouldn't be fond of this cheese fondue-inspired hamburg steak?
250 grams ground meat (beef and pork mixture)
3 tablespoons panko bread crumbs
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon salt
70 grams shredded cheese
1 tablespoon cream
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon red wine
1 tablespoon water
Let's get Cooking...
In a saucepan, cook together shredded cheese and cream. Set aside.
Finely chop onion and microwave for 1 minute.
In a bowl, combine ground meat, 1/2 egg, chopped onion, panko bread crumbs, milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg and mix well.
Put half the meat mixture into your hands and spread out flat. Place half the cheese mixture into the center. Mold into a patty, making sure to secure the cheese mixture inside. Make one more patty with the remaining ingredients.
Cook the burger patties on both sides. Add a little water and cook covered on low heat for 6 minutes.
Once burgers are cooked through, transfer to a plate. Combine ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, red wine and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
