Chocolate Cake With Meringue recipe
Ingredients for the dough (prepare two):
60 grams butter (room temperature)
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
1 cup of wheat flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of milk
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Ingredients for filling:
100 grams butter
1 cups of powdered sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 tablespoons of double cream
Ingredients for topping:
4 egg whites
120 grams Sugar
120 grams icing sugar
Let's get Cooking...
Dough: put all the ingredients in the mixer and beat for 5 minutes. Place in a greased and floured cake pan, bake in preheated oven at 180oC for 30 minutes. Prepare two doughs. Reserve.
Filling: mix butter with sugar until fluffy, add the cocoa, mix well, add the double cream, gently. Reserve.
Topping: Whisk the egg white and gradually add the sugar, then beat well. Add the icing sugar and beat until firm.
Assembly: cover a dough with twothirds of the filling, put the other dough and spread the remaining filling over the cake.
Cover everything with the meringue and burned with the torch.
