Chocolate Chip Cookies


When it comes to soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies, why would you mess with a classic?



  • 260 grams 0000 flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 170 grams butter cream
  • 270 grams sugar (or half white sugar and half brown sugar)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 small splash of vanilla essence
  • 150 grams chocolate chips

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar until a pale cream is formed. Add the vanilla essence and the egg. Mix. Add the egg yolk.
  2. Add in 3 parts the flour, baking soda and salt. All previously screened. Mix everything with the electric mixer. The mixture is soft and sticky. Add the chocolate chips.
  3. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Grease a baking source and preheat the oven at 180C.
  5. Using an ice cream spoon, or 2 normal spoons place 4 cookies per source. They rise and grow a lot.
  6. With the hand crush slowly a little part of the dough. Bake for 17 minutes.
