Deep-Fried Konjac

Crispy, potato-like konjac fritters are the savory snack that you need in your life.



  • 1 block konjac
  • Potato starch
  • Oil for frying
  • Lemon wedge
  • Marinade:
  • 20 milliliters soy sauce
  • 5 grams chicken bouillon granules
  • Pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 10 grams grated ginger
  • 40 grams flour

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Drop konjac into boiling water and let it sit for 2-3 minutes to get rid of any unpleasant smell.
  2. Tear into bite-sized pieces and freeze until completely frozen.
  3. Once defrosted, squeeze out excess moisture.
  4. Combine ingredients for the marinade. Add konjac pieces into the marinade.
  5. Coat each piece with potato starch and deep fry in hot oil (170 degrees C) until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels of excess oil. Serve with a squeeze of lemon.
