DIY Herbal Incense

With this easy 2-ingredient method, it only makes sense to create your own herbal incense at home.

  • Fresh sage leaves
  • Fresh rosemary
  • Fresh thyme
  • Kitchen twine

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Gather fresh herbs, keeping stems together. Feel free to combine different herbs or keep them separated.
  2. Take your bundle of herbs and tie the stems together. Tightly wrap the twine around the bundle of herbs towards the leafy part and back again towards the stems. Secure with a knot.
  3. Air dry for 2 weeks, or dry in a low-temperature oven for 8 hours. Make sure the herbs are completely dry before burning.
  4. When ready to use, light the leafy end of the herb incense. Blow out the fire and let the herbs smolder. Place the smoldering herbs on a heat-proof dish and let the herbal scents waft!
