French Toast Bowls

  • For the bowl:
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 loaf of white sandwich bread
  • For the cinnamon sugar:
  • 4 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • For the filling:
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Strawberries, mango, and kiwi, thinly sliced
  • For the topping:
  • Whipped cream
  • Honey
  • Strawberries, mango, and kiwi, thinly sliced

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Make the bowl: In a bowl, beat the egg, milk, sugar, and cinnamon together with a whisk until well blended.
  2. Cut 2 bowl shapes out of your loaf, then dip into the filling.
  3. In a frying pan, cook for 2 minutes on each side until crispy and golden.
  4. While still warm, dip all the sides in the cinnamon and sugar mix. Set aside to cool.
  5. Next, fill with the cream and fruit in layers. Decorate with extra fruit and cream, and serve.
