Fried Cheese Empanadas


Warm, cheesy and crispy ... what more could you want from an empanada?



  • 200 ml of water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 200 g of precooked flour
  • 40 g of corn flour
  • Chubut Cheese for the filling

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Mix all of the dry ingredients except the salt and sugar.
  2. Dissolve the salt and sugar in water.
  3. Add the water to the dry ingredients and knead to form a dough, which must be soft and firm.
  4. Make small balls with the dough over any plastic material, then crush the small balls and make 1/2 cm thick dough circles.
  5. Fill with cheese, close the balls and fry in abundant oil.
