Grapefruit Brulee


A sweet and refreshing dessert perfect for enjoying after a barbecue!



  • 2 grapefruits
  • 4-8 tablespoons granulated sugar

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Slice a thin amount off of each end of the grapefruits - this will keep them standing upright. Then slice each grapefruit in half. Place face down on a paper towel and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Turn the grapefruits right side up. Sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons sugar on top of each grapefruit and brown with a blow torch until the sugar has browned and is bubbling. (Note: This can also be done using the broiler function of your oven. Simply place under the broiler and cook for 6-8 minutes, until the sugar is bubbling.)
  3. Allow to cool slightly and enjoy!
