Grilled Ham Brie And Pickled Apple Sandwich

Marcus shows you how to make a Grilled Ham, Brie and Pickled Apple Sandwich.



  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 10 ounces thinly sliced country ham
  • Oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 8 slices of brie
  • Two granny smith apples, sliced thin
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 1 cup hard cider

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Butter bread and toast on both sides. Lay brie slices over top of bread and leave to melt.
  2. In a pot combine vinegar, sugar, cloves and hard cider. Bring to a boil and add apples, turn off heat and let rest in brine.
  3. In a cast iron pan with oil, place ham in a single layer, once all the ham is in the pan cut the heat and add the brown sugar. Allow sugar to melt over the ham.
  4. Layer bread with cheese with apples and ham to build the sandwich.
