Homemade European Fanta

Not all Fanta is created equal, and this homemade version uses fresh orange juice and zest.

Ingredients

  • Zest and juice of 2 oranges
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon citric acid
  • Club soda

Let's get Cooking...

  1. In a saucepan, add zest and juice of oranges, water, sugar and citric acid and bring to a simmer. Cook for 15 minutes or until the mixture has reduced by one-third of its volume.
  2. Let cool. Fill 1/4 of a glass with syrup and top with cold club soda. Stir, add ice, and enjoy. Store remainder in the fridge.
