Recipe

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Mousse
  • 320g white chocolate, chopped (I used Lindt)
  • ¼ cup cream
  • 1 ¼ cup cream + 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp unflavoured powdered gelatin
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Chocolate Hunny Pots
  • 320g dark chocolate
  • 8 Small round water balloons
  • 150g white chocolate candy coating + 100g extra for letters

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Chocolate Hunny Pots
  2. Add chocolate to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 20 seconds at a time mixing each time until smooth. This will help prevent the chocolate from over heating and burning. Set the chocolate aside to cool a little before you dip the balloons into the chocolate coating them just above half way. Set them onto a baking tin lined with baking paper to set in the fridge.
  3. Add the white chocolate to the dark chocolate and microwave to melt. Mix until well combined. This will lighten the chocolate.
  4. Once they’re chilled pop the balloons with a pin or skewer. Remove the balloon and dip the top of the chocolate cup into the lightened chocolate.
  5. Add extra melted white chocolate into a piping bag and pipe ‘HUNNY’ onto the outside of the shells to finish off. Chill while you prepare the mousse.
  6. Mousse
  7. Add dark chocolate, ¼ cup cream and honey into a large microwave safe bowl. Microwave until smooth. Set aside to cool.
  8. While that’s cooling prepare the gelatine by adding water to a small bowl. Sprinkle gelatine over it, give it a mix until well combined. Allow to cool for 5 min. Microwave for 10 seconds to melt and add to the chocolate honey mixture. Mix until well combined.
  9. Add the rest of the cream and vanilla into a large mixing bowl and whip to stiff peaks. Add ¼ of the chocolate mixture to the whipped cream. Gently fold in until well combined. Then add the remaining chocolate and fold. Pour into chocolate molds. Drizzle with some honey and allow to set in the fridge for 2 hours before serving.
