Jumbo Pork Katsu

Ingredients

  • 12 thinly-sliced pork loin
  • 10 gyoza wrappers
  • 10 perilla leaves
  • 2 sticks string cheese
  • 20 grams shredded cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Flour
  • Panko bread crumbs
  • Tonkatsu sauce

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Arrange four slices of pork loin side-by-side, slightly overlapping each other. Top with gyoza wrappers and perilla leaves.
  2. Then place string cheese and shredded cheese on top. Tightly roll it up.
  3. Once more, lay four slices or pork loin side-by-side, slightly overlapping each other. Top with gyoza wrappers and perilla leaves.
  4. Then lay the first roll right on top and roll both together.
  5. Deep-fry slowly in low heat and cook until pork is cooked through.
  6. Transfer to plate and serve with tonkatsu sauce.
