M&M's Surprise Cake


Slice it up and watch the goodies pour out.



  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of chocolate powder
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 14 ounces M&M's
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 2 tablespoons cream (25 percent fat content)

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Separate the whites from the yolks. Reserve the whites in a bowl and beat the egg yolks with sugar and oil.
  2. Mix the flour, salt and 1 cup of chocolate powder.
  3. Add, alternately, water and flour with chocolate to the yolk mixture.
  4. When well incorporated, add the vanilla extract.
  5. Beat the egg whites to obtain soft peaks.
  6. Gently add the yeast mixture and then the egg whites.
  7. Arrange in a round pan, lined with parchment paper and greased and floured.
  8. Bake in the oven, preheated to 356 degrees, for 40 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and let it cool.
  10. Cut the middle of the cake and remove the core. Reserve the top.
  11. Place the M&M's and cover with the top.
  12. In a saucepan, add the condensed milk, 1/2 cup chocolate and butter. Cook over low heat until it is consistent. Turn off the heat and add the cream. Stir to keep warm.
  13. Cover the cake with the topping.
