Meatball Lasagna

For those who don't compromise we present to you, cheesy, gooey lasagna, stacked with layers of meatballs and ham.



  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • Basil leaves, to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of bread, crumbled
  • Olive oil for sautéing
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons wheat flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • Nutmeg to taste
  • 12 ounces fresh lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 cups chopped ham
  • 4 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 bunch parsley, chopped

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, onion powder and basil. Add one egg and the crumbled bread, and mix thoroughly. Shape into tablespoon-sized meatballs.
  2. Pour the olive oil into a hot skillet and cook the meatballs until done, turning to brown on all sides. Set aside.
  3. In a heavy-bottomed pan, melt the butter, add the wheat flour and milk, stirring constantly. Season with salt and nutmeg. Set aside.
  4. In an ovenproof dish, spread a layer of white sauce, a layer of lasagna noodles, meatballs, sauce, a portion of chopped ham, and a portion of grated mozzarella cheese. Repeat, ending with a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley.
