Neapolitan Mousse Oreo Pie

Oreo fans will flip for this Neapolitan pie made with a Golden Oreo crust and filled with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry Oreo filling mousse.

Ingredients

  • For the base:
  • 7 ounces Golden Oreos, without filling
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • Chocolate mousse:
  • 5 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin, hydrated in water according to box directions
  • Filling from 1 sleeve of Chocolate Oreos
  • White chocolate mousse:
  • 5 ounces white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup whipped cream
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin, hydrated in water according to box directions
  • Filling from 1 sleeve of traditional Oreos
  • Strawberry mousse:
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • Filling from 1 sleeve of strawberry Oreos
  • 10 1/2 ounces strawberry purée
  • 1 packet unflavored red gelatin, hydrated in water according to box directions
  • To garnish:
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Oreos, to decorate

Let's get Cooking...

  1. In a food processor or with a rolling pin, crush the golden Oreos until they become crumbs. Transfer into a springform pan. Mix in the melted butter and press into the bottom of the pan. Place in the refrigerator.
  2. Make the chocolate mousse: Over a double boiler, add the bittersweet chocolate, 1/2 cup fresh cream and the chocolate Oreo filling. Cook until melted then remove from heat. Add the gelatin and set aside to cool slightly. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
  3. Pour chocolate layer into the springform pan and place in refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  4. Make the white chocolate mousse: Over a double boiler, add the white chocolate, 1/2 cup fresh cream and the Oreo filling. Cook until melted then remove from heat. Add the gelatin and set aside to cool slightly. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
  5. Pour white chocolate layer into the springform pan and place in refrigerator for another 20 minutes.
  6. Make the strawberry mouse: In a mixing bowl, add the heavy cream and the strawberry Oreo filling. Beat until soft peaks form.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine the strawberry purée with the gelatin. Gently fold in the whipped cream. Pour strawberry layer into the springform pan and place in refrigerator for 2 hours.
  8. Garnish with the chocolate syrup and the broken Oreos.
