Pineapple Sambal

Add a bit of sweet spice to your life with this fiery pineapple chili relish.



  • 1 whole pineapple
  • 5 cloves shallots
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 shrimp paste, roasted
  • 2 cayenne chilies
  • 3 thai chilies
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Cut pineapple into cubes, set aside.
  2. Heat up a little oil and add shallots, garlic, Cayenne chilies, Bird eye chilies, sauté, remove from heat, drain, and set aside.
  3. Grind the spices, then add salt, sugar, and shrimp paste.
  4. Add pineapple, mix well and serve in a hollow pineapple (whose insides have been removed)
  5. Serve with your favorite side dish.
