Rosti Potato


How to make a Rosti Potato.



  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 5 chive stalks
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2.2 pounds white potato
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper

Let's get Cooking...

  1. In a skillet, fry minced bacon. Set it aside.
  2. Peel the potatoes and grate them coarsely.
  3. Squeeze the potatoes to remove water, mixt the bacon, minced chive, olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet.
  5. Layer the potatoes in the skillet covering the bottom. Use a spatula to press and adjust the potatoes.
  6. Cover the skillet with aluminium foil and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
  7. Remove the aluminium, change heat to high and cook for 5 minutes until golden. Use the spatula to prevent the potatoes from sticking to the skillet.
  8. Place them in a dish, add 2 tablespoons of butter and put them back in the skillet. Cook for 5 more minutes or until golden.
  9. Transfer to a plate and serve.
