How to make Skillet Orange Chocolate Cake



  • 2 oranges, sliced
  • 50 cc water
  • 10 grams sugar
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • Whipped cream
  • Cake:
  • 2 eggs
  • 70 grams sugar
  • 70 grams milk
  • 175 grams pancake mix
  • 25 grams unsweetened cocoa powder

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Combined orange slices, water, sugar and rosemary in a skillet.
  2. Simmer for 10 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated. Discard rosemary.
  3. In a bowl, combine eggs, milk and sugar and mix well. Sift in pancake mix and cocoa powder and mix to incorporate.
  4. Arrange orange slices neatly. Pour in the cake batter.
  5. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
  6. Insert a wooden skewer to check for doneness. If it comes out clean, it's done.
  7. Invert onto a serving platter and serve with whipped cream.
