Teriyaki Pork Onion Rings

Take your onion rings to the next level by wrapping them with pork belly.



  • 7 to 8 strips thinly-sliced pork belly
  • 2 onions
  • 1/2 cup potato starch
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds
  • Sauce:
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Slice onions to 1/2 inch thickness. Push out the center pieces to create rings.
  2. Lay pork slices on work surface and sprinkle with potato starch. Wrap pork slices around the onion rings.
  3. Place onion rings in frying pan with oil and cook until nicely browned on both sides. Add in the sauce ingredients and cook over low heat until slightly thickened.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
