Sate Lilit

This spicy Balinese version of satay has fish, chicken and a whole lot of yumminess.

Ingredients

  • 400 grams minced mackerel
  • 100 grams minced chicken
  • 25 grams starch
  • 50 grams flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 Turmeric
  • 1 Ginger
  • 4 garlics
  • 6 Shallots
  • 1 Kencur
  • 4 Big Red Thai Chilies
  • 1 Galangal
  • Salt to taste
  • Brown sugar to taste
  • Lemongrass

Let's get Cooking...

  1. Grind turmeric, ginger, garlic, red onion, kencur, chili, ginger, salt, and brown sugar until smooth.
  2. Sauté the ground Spices until it cooked.
  3. Mix the minced mackerel and minced chicken, add starch, flour, egg yolk and the sautéed Spices.
  4. Form the satay then wrap it to lemongrass, grill it and serve.
